From top Thailand property developer, Sansiri, 60% of unit sold so far of the award-winning beachfront Thai development Baan Mai Khao are from foreign buyers. Buyers of Luxury condos are mainly from Hong Kong, Singapore and Russia.

According to Srettha Thavisin, President of Sansiri PCL, they have shifted their focus to capture new markets like China and Russia since last year. Overseas roadshows were able to generate up to 200 million baht (US$6.08 million) at each event. And, the majority of overseas buyers are looking for a rental return or as a vacation home.

‘Rental for the Holidays’ programme offered by Sansiri which guaranteed return of 6% in the first two years and interior design and furniture packages also attracted a lot of foreign buyers.

Baan Mai Khao won the Best Condo Development (Phuket) at the 2014 Thailand Property Awards.

“There are two types of high-end condominiums in Phuket: seaview and beachfront. There are many seaview condominiums but very few true beachfront condominiums like Baan Mai Khao. And, a number of factors have made Baan Mai Khao an exciting opportunity for real estate investors: Its location – prime beachfront unlike anywhere else in Phuket – availability of freehold ownership, its spectacular design, the five-star neighbourhood and its proximity to Phuket International Airport” says Sansiri.

The facilities and design of the resort features high-end five-star hotels and is said to be a part of this luxury enclave on the northern tip of Phuket Island.
